Instructions Sample 2: Workplace Instructions

1. Submitting Your Weekly Timesheet

Instructions:

  1. Open the “Time Tracking” system.
  2. Enter your hours worked for each day of the week.
  3. Review your entries for accuracy.
  4. Select the “Submit Timesheet” button.

Notes:

  • Submit your timesheet by Friday at 5:00 PM.
  • Contact Payroll if you cannot access the system.

2. Requesting Time Off

Steps:

  1. Open the HR portal.
  2. Select “Time Off Requests.”
  3. Choose the start date and end date.
  4. Enter a reason for your request (optional).
  5. Select “Submit Request.”

After Submission:

  • You will receive a confirmation email.
  • Your manager will review and approve or deny the request.

3. Reporting an IT Issue (Technical Problem)

Steps:

  1. Open the IT support form.
  2. Enter a brief description of the issue.
  3. Include any error messages exactly as they appear.
  4. Select the priority level (Low, Medium, or High).
  5. Select “Submit Ticket.”

Important:

  • For urgent issues, call the IT help desk directly.
  • Do not include sensitive passwords in your report.

4. Setting Up Your Work Email

Steps:

  1. Open your email application.
  2. Enter your company email address.
  3. Enter the temporary password provided by IT.
  4. Follow the prompts to create a new password.
  5. Confirm that you can send and receive emails.

Tip:

  • Choose a password that meets company security requirements.

5. Safety Procedure: Evacuating the Building

Steps:

  1. Stop your work immediately.
  2. Leave your belongings behind.
  3. Exit using the nearest marked exit.
  4. Do not use elevators.
  5. Proceed to the designated assembly area.

Reminder:

  • Follow instructions from safety personnel at all times.
