Y2 Unit 9.1: Learning Objectives and Overview
Learning Objectives
- Identify common barriers and solutions to preparing licenses and attribution sections.
- Assess the presence of historically underrepresented voices in your book so far based on existing attributions and references.
- Determine if your author team will include a citation diversity statement.
- Evaluate license and attribution statements in your manuscript and make changes to your references lists so that your book will be ready to share with an open license.
Overview
Congratulations, you’re on your fourth – and last! – month-long pass through your chapters. In this unit, you’ll sweep through your license statements, attributions, and references in order to give credit to others, show future readers how to give credit to you, and review your attributions and citation lists with an equity lens. In Year 1, it was OK to leave these sections as rough drafts because revisions were coming. Now it’s time to clean them up.
