Learning Objectives
- Create a module template.
- Assess your course design before you pilot with the Equity-Minded Course Review Checklist.
- Discuss the purpose of the Workforce Advisory Board Review for your assessment design.
- Locate the weekly instructor notes section in the Chapter Level Feedback survey.
Overview
Now that you have outlined your assessments in your course map and aligned them with your learning objectives for each unit, it’s time to think about the look and feel of your course site.
Your course site is more than a platform for sharing content. It represents the learning pathway itself. Paying attention to the user experience will help you to ease student navigation and build trust, even before students hear your voice or read your welcome message. Intuitive design will also help future educators to use your course content in their own curriculum planning.
This unit takes a minimum of two weeks to complete. If you only have two weeks before your course starts, then at the end of the first week you will meet with your Instructional Designer to review your draft module structure. At the end of the second week you will have your course map complete and at least the first three weeks of your course built out. At that point, you’ll meet with your Instructional Designer a second time to complete the {Instructor} {Course #} Equity-Minded Course Review. If you have more than two weeks, then you can spread this workload across your available time.
