Y2 Unit 5.1: Learning Objectives and Overview

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss pilot feedback from students and the Workforce Advisory Board.
  2. Prioritize realistic goals for revision of course materials, including weekly overviews, content, activities, and assignment prompts.
  3. Determine the open license that works best for your course materials.
  4. Identify the final step for course revision (ie, how you know you’re done).

Overview

Congratulations on completing your course pilot! Since the pilot term ended, hopefully you’ve had a few weeks to tend to your life outside of teaching. Now it’s time to revise and openly license your course materials so that we can share them with the open textbook.

Revision is the most dynamic phase of course development. Now is your opportunity to review your design with fresh eyes and work on meeting learning goals with greater precision. Together, you and your Instructional Designer will set target dates for revision completion. Our goal is to help you make equity-minded changes that serve both future students and future educators. Let’s get started!
