Y2 Unit 5.6: How Do You Know that You’re Done?

The design process is never totally complete. Your students’ needs will always evolve and so will your course design. However, for the purposes of this project, being “done” means you are ready to share a collection of revised course materials with an open license. These include materials include:

  • Instructor Guide with notes for future educators
  • Course Map that reflects your revisions to the pilot
  • Assessment prompts and rubrics
  • Content from all course units, including overview, course materials pages, assignments and activities, and rubrics
  • Open License Statement

The following items are not included in course packs:

  • Course materials that you do not wish to share
  • Third-party content that is all rights reserved
  • Student work that students have not given clear permission to share
  • Student data
  • Test banks that instructors would like to keep private
  • Learning management system course export files
  • Content that does not meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

When all revised course materials are added to the Course Pack Materials folder in your shared workspace, you have fulfilled your pilot instructor responsibilities. This means we will be ready to invoice your institution for Payment #2, the final stipend payment for your pilot. Your Instructional Designer will complete the final alignment to the launch version of the textbook, the final accessibility review, and final quality checks. The leadership team will be in touch when it is time to celebrate the launch of your hard work!
