Support Role 6.4: Sharing Your Work
With many participants in different roles, it’s important to keep files organized so that all project team members can find them when they are needed. Please make sure that you share all source files with project leadership.
Image files and their associated long description files should be added to the Shareable Image Repository [Google Folder] when they are complete. Give the image file a descriptive title. If the image itself contains a title, please use that for consistency. The naming convention for long description files is {Image Title} Image Description. Anyone with the link to this folder can view the content, and everyone on the project has editing access.
Video files should be delivered via email so that we can host videos on the Open Oregon Educational Resources YouTube [Website] account.
Project leadership will publish media in the openly licensed textbook or course materials. That is the primary place that the media will be seen and used.
Media Developers are also encouraged to cross-post work to other repositories to increase its visibility and availability. For openly licensed images, we recommend Wikimedia Commons or Flickr. For a Wikimedia Commons example, visit Abortion Access in the United States [Website]. For openly licensed videos, we recommend YouTube.
