Book Description
Changing Society offers a foundational exploration of the causes, impacts, and dynamics of social change. We focus on current and historical events, institutional structures, and unequal relations of power within and across societies. Informed by the tenets of universal design, equity and belonging, and a commitment to a decolonizing approach, it is written for undergraduate students majoring in social sciences, social work, ethnic studies, or social justice studies. It also serves students interested in better understanding how to contribute to positive social change in a variety of global settings: within civil society, government, or private agencies, as volunteer activists, or working in their chosen professions.
