Note From the Translation Coordinator

This translation is a product of the diligent work of the undergraduate students of Spanish at Western Oregon University. As such, we strived for clarity and semantic fidelity and made no attempt at preserving the author’s elegant style. Sentences in this work are concise, in an attempt to better transmit the author’s message. All names and titles were left in their original language, with translations provided  in footnotes.
