Note About the Current State of This Book

This book is a work in progress. Students from Western Oregon University originally  translated and edited Los orígenes hispanos de Oregón during their coursework in SPAN 385 Introduction to Translation,  SPAN 486 Translation Practicum, and WR 402 Professional Editing. Additional work expected to be completed over the 2022-2023 academic year and beyond:

• Disentangle text for clarity.
• Correct and properly format citations.
• Add background historical information .
• Include additional maps for visual context.
• Format book to match Los orígenes hispanos de Oregón
