10.0 WARM-UP WRITING
This week’s warm-up writing challenge is to write one sentence that uses all three types of clauses:
- noun clause
- adjective clause
- adverb clause
Underline and label each type of clause.
Example: When I finish college, what I want is a job that pays a lot of money.
- “When I finish college” = adverb clause (it explains when)
- “what I want” = noun clause (this idea is the subject of the sentence)
- “that pays a lot of money” = adjective clause (it describes which kind of job I want)
