2.4 COMPOSITION: Analyze Your Errors

Another form of metacognition in writing is self-analysis. That means you analyze your own writing for patterns of errors and you think about how you can make improvements. Before you start this task, wait for your instructor’s feedback about your writing sample from Unit 1. Read your instructor’s comments carefully and analyze your errors. Then answer these three questions about your writing:

  1. What is the most common type of error that you make?
  2. How do you correct that error now?
  3. How will you prevent that error in the future?
